The Rambutan is a fruit from Southeast Asia. It is similar to the Lychee fruit save for its remarkable spiny exterior. This crazy fruit was my point of inspiration in designing the "Rambu", a piece of fashion that lives in a category all of its own.

I sought to capture the interesting contrast naturally between the Rambutan fruit's bright, spindly red exterior and its pearl-like interior via contrasting materials.
